About the Scholarship Program

The Glades Central Class of 2014 Scholarship Fund was created by proud Glades Central alumni who wanted to give back to the community that shaped them. This fund is dedicated to supporting Belle Glade students as they pursue higher education. Applicants are encouraged to demonstrate academic commitment, leadership, and a passion for serving their community, with special consideration given to students from families facing financial barriers. Through this scholarship, the Class of 2014 continues its legacy of resilience and pride, investing in the future leaders of Belle Glade and honoring the spirit of Glades Central graduates.

Requirements

Who Qualifies?

To be considered for the scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Current Glades Central High School Senior (Class of 2026)
Plans to enroll full‑time at a four‑year university or college in the state of Florida
Minimum GPA of 2.8 or higher (must provide most recent unofficial transcript)
Two letters of recommendation from teachers, mentors, or community leaders
Personal essay that highlights academic goals, leadership, and commitment to community service
