Her Soil is Her Story Inc. is a 501c(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing financial stability and educational opportunity in Belle Glade and surrounding communities. We operate two core initiatives: Elevate Belle Glade and Tax Companion.
Together, these programs strengthen household stability, expand opportunity, and empower individuals to thrive. Our vision is to build sustainable, equity‑driven pathways that transform community outcomes and create a future where families and students in Belle Glade has the tools to succeed.
What We Do?
Tax Companion delivers free, CPA‑led tax preparation and financial literacy workshops, equipping families with tools to budget, save, and avoid predatory practices. Services are multilingual and culturally sensitive, ensuring equitable access for immigrant and low‑income households.
Elevate Belle Glade provides mentorship, academic support, and workforce readiness for high school and college students. By connecting youth with trusted mentors and practical resources, the program prepares them to succeed in higher education and transition confidently into careers.
